My swype quit working after the latest update... anyone else have the same problem?

OG Droid, Peter Alfonso's GPA 13 build.

The line drawing on the keys shows up, but the words don't actually get written.

A lot of the versions floating around packaged into ROMs got expired. Uninstall (including the lib file) and sign up for the official beta.

That's the thing though, I had downloaded and installed the official beta from Swype, which worked fine. Then, they sent me an email about a new update. I installed that, and I didn't have any problems with it for a while... but now it has the before mentioned issue.

did you uninstall and reinstall? that usually fixes my issues, but sometimes there will be a release that just sucks for me.

Well, as you suggested, a reinstall fixed her up. Shoulda just done that before.

I did reboot the phone, but it was still stuck. Seemed like it was listed as unlicensed. Oh well, all is good now.

or try switching to a different keyboard, disabling/enabling swype from input options, and switching back to it.

I have issues with swype sometimes too, I haven't done a update that I know of. Just sometimes it gets real buggy and doesn't work for crap, I end up having to reboot my phone for it to go back to normal

Are you using a Gingerbread ROM? There have been some bugs that I've noticed. For the most part, disabling and re-enabling it as an input method seems to fix it.
