Swype 3 beta - WTH?

It doesn't sound like it's their fault, but you'd think it would be possible for them to write in a line of code that forces Swype to always use SMS mode while you're in one of the affected apps. It's not their fault that HTC wrote their apps wrong though.

I switched to Handcent months ago because of Swype Beta, and I'm happier for it.

Right, it would be courteous if they simply put a checkbox in the options somewhere that says "HTC text field workaround" or something.

Instead, they fixed on their end and broke functionality for thousands of people and then told them to go complain to HTC. Thanks alot Swype... :thumbsdown:

I changed to GO SMS and like it much more than Handcent. May be worth taking a look.

I like the GO products. GO SMS is better than Handcent, but not by that much. Go Launcher EX is the best launcher I've found so far. 😉
Their wether app however sucks and locks up my phone.
