Just a thread if anyone has this, or might want it.
It's another roguelike game, with nothing really to do with Sword of the Stars.
It's closer than some other roguelikes - so much that you get acid hurting your sword, colored potions with unknown effects such as 'heal' and 'blind' are replaced by colored doors which have unknown effects when you go through them, including 'heal' and 'blind' again.
It's different in ways, especially a pretty robust crafting system for food, weapons, and much more. It'd take a long time to get the recipes in game, or they're on web sites.
It's $10 not on sale (a $7.49 sale just ended on gog).
I'm enjoying it more than other recent roguelikes so far, but I'm not sure how much staying power it has.
You can save your game, but not restore if your char is killed - it just lets you take a break.
I have a game going I hesitate to play more, because I have a lot of nice items it won't be fun to lose.
Like with Rogue, random is a big factor - which armor and weapons and food drop among other things. If you spawn in a room full of nasties, if you hit a bad trap.
It has three or four difficulty levels, I'm just doing easy so far.
There are three classes to pick, with different emphasis, melee, 'scout' and one for things like computers and devices more.
