swithing ipods

i had a mini and now i have a 30GB video, when i went to connect my video for the first time to the computer i got the message, "iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPod "IPOD". Use the iPod Software Updater application to restore the iPod to factory settings." i went to apple.com and downloaded the ipod updater and it still gave me the same message. so i uninstalled all ipod and itunes, then reinstalled and it gave me the same message. pleaz help me i just want an ipod will ALL my songs on it! thanx Amanda

Welcom to the forums

Try uninstalling then install everything off the CD then updating

on the ipod, try pressing menu and select for 6 second to reset it. then with everything installed, turn on updater, wait 3 secs, then plug in ipod. restore it, then use itunes to set everything right. o, and welcome to the forums. pm me if u need additional help.

so i got the problem fixed with my ipod and it loaded all my songs, 🙂 but i downloaded some more and tired to update it but, now it won't recognize the ipod or update. why?!?!?!
