Swithcing Mobos

😛 ok heres a nice noob situation: My bro has a mobo (Asus A7N8X-X) that is slowly shorting, so he wants to get a new mobo BUT (and heres the dilemna) he doesnt want to have to "program" or "install" all his stuff again onto to the new mobo, so my question for you guys is: If he gets the SAME exact mobo(Asus A7N8X-X) will it just be a clean swap and would window just boot up or would he have to install and program windows,etc... onto the new mobo???because if thats the case i guess he can just get a new mobo but hes gonna need a new processor!?! hmm please help us out!
 
theoretically it should work without problems...usually works even if it is a different brand of mobo but the same chipset. There is always the possibility that it won't work though, but I am willing to bet that if you get the same exact mobo everything should be just fine and there will be no problem doing the swap.
