switching to SATA

I'll be switching from one PATA hard drive to two SATA drives. When I do, should I move my optical drive IDE cable to the 1st parallel slot or leave it in the secondary?
 
yea thats what i did with mine, but i switched it back over to the secondary channel when i added my pata hard drives. i dont think it will make too much of a difference but i dont remember what the actual differences between the two channels where if any.
