I currently have 3 19" crt monitors for 2 computers, two of which are running together on a matrox g450 analog dual video card, the other a regular vga card as well.
I'm replacing all 3 with lcd's, primarily for the benefits of text viewing over crt's.
A) do I need dvi video cards, or just a vga-dvi adapter. Is there a noticeable sacrifice of quality with just using an adapter, instead of a dvi vid card, or is it negligible?
B) If I need new vid cards, any suggestions for good 2D, reasonably priced cards would be great, especially a dual vid card.
C) If I only need adapters, any suggestions on where to get a deal on one would be great.
D) Either case, I'm assuming I'll be using dvi cables, which come with the lcd's, so I'll also need a couple dvi extension cables, if anyone has suggestions for a good place to find them as well.
