Switching teams OK, or improper?
Hmm.. I can see both sides of the coin..
With RC5 and ECCp it's rather irrelevant, as the units you crunch for the team stay with the team - I think there's some good reasons for that, amoung them being that there's no "I" in TEAM.
If you're not opposed to doing so, perhaps starting another account to join us would be in order? That way there's no hard feelings with the other team, and yet you cease production for them to join us. You can always switch the account(s) around later if you want, and it can be a fun to have multiple accounts on one or more teams.. I do.

Welcome to the TeAm!Originally posted by: Geniere
Thanks everyone. I'll make the switch. I do about 1 unit a day. When I retire next year, I'll build a crunching system. I haven't fully conceptualized this yet but I'm thinking of rack mounting 4 Mother boards and sharing a hard drive. I'll use simplist OS I can. I have two 1000w (33vdc,33amps) DC power supplies which I'll try to adapt by using regulating circuits to develope the various voltages.
So as not to re-invent the wheel, if anyone has done something similar, please let me know.
Thanks

I find Anandtech forums more to my taste as well! If you feel the need to change to the TeAm you will be a welcomed addition
I really like TeAm Anandtechs members but that is not to say anything negative about the vast amount of other quality teams. If it feels right for you to join the TeAm then by all means do so. We would love to have you but at the same time I am sure your current team would hate to lose you.
