Trying to make this short - basically I've worked for the same company ~6 years. The first 5 years was as an IT "analyst" and then I applied for a video editing position that involved managing a small seperate network (we're talking ~10-12 pc's, no big deal.. basically so I could keep the "IT" job title..)

I've really been very unhappy, management in this dep't is screwed, and the position involves a lot of stuff that they and I were unaware of (more "grunt work" less of anything pc related or video related at all..) I've expressed my issues, they've tried to fix it, but it really isn't working.

Another company has shown interest in me, but they are in the process of moving buildings, and can't hire anyone until that is complete (30-40 employees, smaller company.) Also, my old boss has offered me my old job back (which is really what I enjoy doing..) However, if I take it the other company might scoop me up in a month or two.. Should I just stick it out? It's somewhat possible the other job could fall through as well.

If theres a chance the other job will fall through, i'd take your old job back. Unless you know for sure that your old job will still be there in 2 months if your new one falls through.
