Switching on PC knocks out Router

I have a bizzarre problem. Every time I switch on my PC, somehow it brings the router's connection down. Sometimes it'll reconnect after a few hours, and sometimes it refuses to reconnect at all, until of course I power down my computer.

I have tried everything - removing the network plug from the back of the PC, systematically removing all of the PC's components, until the only connection between it and the Router is the power supply. We've added surge protectors to both the router and the PC, seperately and at the same time, and now I'm at my wits end.

If it helps at all, my Router is made by Origo, and my PC was self built. There are several other PCs connected to the Router, but none of them cause the problem.

Has anyone ever encountered this problem before? Does anyone know of anything I can do to fix it?

Yes, both the one integrated into my motherboard, and a PCI card. Plus, it even disconnects when the PC isn't connected to the Router.
