Switching monitor focus

I have two CRT monitors hooked up to an Asus Radeon 9600XT. In some games requiring full screen mode, I can't switch out of the game to my other monitor without crashing the game, because it attempts to jump to windowed mode. Is there a program that will allow me to jump between monitors without Alt+tabbing out of fullscreen mode or exiting the game? Thanks!

I've tried Hydravision and Ultramon so far and neither has been able to simply switch between monitors. They both seem to attempt to create virtual desktops on the same monitor, merely stretching the desktop to the second monitor.

Have you tried hitting the windows key? I've never used dual monitors but when I'm warcrafting I just hit that and it'll bring up the task bar and stuff.

I'm talking about games that don't natively support exiting to Windows through alt+tab/windows key/etc. For example, Final Fantasy XI disables the windows key because people would mistakenly hit it and crash to the desktop.

I think you should give up.

Can I read my e-mail on the second monitor while playing a game?
This sounds great in theory, but usually doesn't work well. Here's why:

1. To use your e-mail or other program on the second monitor, you'll have to switch away from the game. Most games will minimize and pause when you do this.
2. If your second monitor is to the right of the primary monitor, there's another problem: if the game changes the display resolution, the applications on the second monitor will be moved partly off the monitor. The only workaround is to run the game at the same resolution as the Windows desktop.
