Switching Linux Distros

Hello everyone. I've been using Mandrake 9.0 for a little while now, but from the advice of a friend, I'm making a switch to RedHat 8.0. How do I switch? Do I have to uninstall Mandrake and then install RedHat, or does the RedHat installer allow for upgrades (or in this case switching), or can the RedHat installer delete Mandrake and create new partitions (this would be the best if its possible). Thanks in advance 🙂

When you install Red Hat, it should give you the option to remove all partitons on a drive and create new ones.
