Switching from GRUB to LILO

How do I dump grub and set lilo up. Can I just modify lilo.conf the way I want it and then run lilo and it work?
 
Yes. It will, assuming you put it in the right place, overwrite GRUB.

May I ask why you're switching? I'm just curious, because I don't really like LILO, but I do like GRUB (except for it's stupid device naming convention).
 
Seems like a big step backwards, but yes configuring and running lilo will overwrite the MBR (if you configure it like that) and replace GRUB.
