switching from dialup to DSL

I have been using dialup for about 3 years. I have just ordered DSL service thru Verizon.

Any advise on do & do nots when switching from dialup to DSL.

What are you paying and what are the speeds?

$14.95 per monthly - one year contract - 768/128 - They have a much faster service which is I think about $30 per month. But for what I am doing this should be fine especially when compared to dialup which I was paying $17.95.

Located in "Virginia is for Lovers" state.
