I was wondering if anyone has ever had a problem with switching cpu's in windows 2000

I currenly have a duron 800 overclocked and was going to put a thunderbird in there.

Haven't done it yet but was wondering if thats ever been a problem in a 8kta3 mb

Thanks for all your help

Should't be a problem - I've not had any at any rate.

There's no real new "hardware" to be detected - it just works faster. Now, changing the mobo would be a different thing. As long as you don't change the number of CPU's or serious system components you should be fine :).

No problem at all. It's like when you're overclocking(CPU speed varies every boot-up).
