Switched to Vista x64 from XP x86

Nothing is changed, it's the same exact setup as what I used to get 5 bars on. I have the 64 bit vista drivers installed. The card is a gigabyte GN-WP01GS PCI WLAN Card(Turbo) #2

any have any ideas of why this is happening?

those "bars" are useless. Has your performance been impacted?

Most likely it is the change in drivers.

the performance has been impacted. I used to run CS:S lag free, now I get lag spikes randomly about every minute that last for about a second.

blame it on drivers then, they are constantly changing them in the wireless world.

Also try changing the channel on your AP to 1,6 or 11 to see what works best.
