Switch or HUB

I'm currently running a LAN at home with two PCs sharing DSL connection via the Linksys router, which is hooked up to a 4port HUB. Will I see any significant improvement, speedwise if I replace the HUB with a switch?

If your hub is 100Mb, no. If your hub is 10Mb, yes - on the LAN, but not on the internet.

You're DSL connnection isn't going to feel any faster because it's still much slower than a 10 Mbps network. But between you and your bud's computer, a 100 Mbps switch would be really fast over a 10 Mbps hub.
