My wife's pc has had an intermittent problem of not booting without turning off the rocker switch on the PSU, leaving it for 30 seconds and then switching back on. Then the pc boots fine. It did this last year but a RAM change seemed to have cured it. Now it has starting doing this again I have decided to just buy the EVGA 500 watt model which I have in my PC.
To justify this expense I have said I would rather gamble the £34 than risk potential damage to other components in her pc. I have been told on this forum that the CIT brand is not reliable. I am not too sure that the problem is the PSU but I think it is the mobo. The only problem with replacing the mobo is the windows 10 is an upgrade from a windows 8 oem. I would not buy the same msi H87 mobo. I did no like this one, it almost put me off buying msi for future but when I bought the h81m- e33 for my pentium I loved it. Would probably get her one of these. She never wants to overclock hence the cpu so no interest in any expensive z series.
