Switch Help: 1 Source, 2 Displays

Hello All,

Didn't know where to best fit this in a forum so if this isn't the best place, mods please move.

My request is simple (I think). I have 2 24" monitors side by side and a 46" LCD TV right above them.

Currently, the sources are as such:

Xbox One: Display to 24" Monitor
DirectTV: Display to 46" LCD

I want to be able to do do the following setups:

Setup 1 (Current): XboxOne --> 24" Monitor, DirectTV --> 46" LCD
Setup 2: XboxOne --> 46" LCD, DirectTV --> 24" Monitor
Setup 3: XboxOne --> 24" Monitor, DirectTV --> 24" Monitor

Ideally, what I believe I would be looking for is a switch that has a single source input with dual display output. I would purchase two of them (one for XboxOne, the other for DirectTV) and would hook them both to their desired displays as I've noted above.

What I've seen in my limited research is that the switches will only work if BOTH displays are on. There are going to be times where I just want to have my Xbox on and my DirectTV off or vice versa.

Are there any boxes that would allow me to do the setups I've described above? Any help would be appreciated!

ok you could use a kvm switch...as long as you have a keyboard hooked through it and to the xbox the toggle key is generally the scrool lock key..but depends on unit..failing that go to places like radio shack they will prolly have stand alone dividers that you can get..look on line ...vga switch....vga hub...etc...

Go to monoprice.com, look for "HDMI matrix switches".

This is exactly right, you want a matrix switch. It sounds to me like you have 3 input sources (satellite, XBONE, and presumably a PC?) and you have 3 displays. So you need at minimum a 3x3 matrix switch. Monoprice has a 4x4 matrix switch for $158 that will do what you want.
