switch a normal IDE drive to flash IDE module

I've got a medical device that has 2 drives in it. They are 7 years old at this point. I want to trade them out for some of those industrial IDE flash modules.

Does anyone know much about these? Can you just clone the existing drives onto the flash modules and go about your business?

The 2 drives that are in the device now have odd master/slave setups. They are both set to "auto-spin disable cable select" so when I put them into a PC they do not spin until I change that around to a simple slave or master. I'm not sure the flash IDE drives even have that option or not. I'm also not sure it's required for the system to work.

These drives may be raided too. It seems they have the same partitions and file sizes on both.

Any help in this area is appreciated.
