Swipe Gestures in Chrome Browser

Can't get two or three finger swipes to work with my Lenovo G500 laptop running Windows 8. Not in Chrome. Not in anything. I'm referring to these actions allowing me to page back and forward. I can scroll up/down with no problem.

I tried Firefox and had the same problem. Looked for a solution online to no avail. Attempted a look into Settings with no luck.

Figured it out myself. Search for Mouse on computer. Program is called Elan. Within settings there is an option to enable three finger swipes. I hate Windows 8.

Elan provides the touchpad driver and includes their Control Panel applet just like Synaptics, Nvidia, or anyone else. Both my old Windows 7 Samsung (Synaptics) and my new S400CA with Windows 8 (I don't know who makes this touchpad) shipped with three-finger gestures disabled. There's nothing altogether unusual about this situation.

Well it was a pain in the ass to find the setting and enable it. That's all I'm saying.
