I finally got the pool turned around a bit, but still having a few issues

Pool Differences

There is crud on the bottom, and when i try to hookup my vaccuum hose with the flow pro sand filter through the doughboy through wall skimmer, when It returns water to the pool the water is green and nasty instead of clean, why isnt it filtering!

Man I hate pools, already $150-200 put into it lol, and still need a lot more chemicals for the next month

I saw a commercial for an above-ground pool. It was 30 seconds long. You know why? 'Cuz that's the maximum amount of time that you can depict yourself having fun in an above-ground pool. After 30 seconds, you would see the kid saying, "What do I do now? Should I pass the ball to Jimmy? Or put on some goggles and look at his feet?

*sniff*🙁

Lots of work need to be done on that. I'd say first give it a good chlorine shock and some algicide. Then open up the filters and clean them out (the main filter at the pump). Make sure your pH is at the right level too, use acid as needed.

Home Depot probably has the best prices on chemicals.

Doh, I should check there.... we go 5 x a week :-/

We shocked it twice, put in algicide 600, look at the picture, thats why it is blue now instead of green 🙂

Does the sand filter need cleaned? I thought it was just sand. PH and alkalinity and chlorine are all perfect according to my new test strips
