After my wife lost 30 pounds I decided it was time to get my butt in gear and catch up. I'm now in week 3 of a Tue, Thur, Sat swimming routine where I generally swim laps for thirty minutes then follow it with 10 minutes of in water core exercises.

I'm looking for something I can do at home on the off days that will supplement the swimming nicely. I need low impact because of a bad knee and ankle (old soccer injuries). I'm not against a video routine.

Any suggestions?

Depending on budget and space, how about a rowing machine or an eliptical? Or perhaps a spin bike, that would take up less space.

Thanks but I was hoping for something free-ish and not necessarily cardio.

Swimming is cardio so I would suggest some type of Resistance training. Resistance bands or multi function hand barbells would work in a home environment.

Get one of the Power 90 videos. It's the precursor to P90X and is for folks who haven't done a lot of strength exercises or have a lot of weight to lose.

No need to workout more than 3 days/week. Focus more on other aspects of your life like avoiding sitting down too much. Or use the extra time to cook healthy food. The majority of weight is loss in the kitchen.
