I just installed a new system over the weekend which is running dual Xeon 306GHz processors. I knew the 3.06's ran very hot so I opted not to use the stock Intel heat sink/fan and went with two Swiftech MCX603-V's, Artic Silver 5, and Antec Tornado fans.

I have been running the crap out of this new system and the processors stay amazingly cool, these processors have a high limit of 127c/260f the hottest I have been able to get them is 33c/91f!! Even more impressive when I compare it to my other Xeon Dual 2GHz system that?s been just sitting Idle for the past two hours and are at 31c/87 using Intel stock heatsinks and fans.

I am so impressed with the SwiftTech heatsinks I am going to put a SwiftTech MCX478-V in my families P4 system. Granted they look pretty strange and the tornado fan is a bit loud but for the cooling factor they are plenty worth it, at least to me any way.

If anyone is looking for a real good heatsink and fan combo I would check out the SwiftTech's

no offense but throw a tornado on any heatsink you'll see some good results. of course swiftech does make some sweet stuff.
