A friend told me that the Swiftech HSF is really good, but I don't recall ever seeing anyone talking about it, here or other places...

LMK if it is good or not.

Thanks in Advance

The Swiftech MCX 462 is the best heatsink out right now. It used to be very expensive around $80 or so, but now they sell them at Fry's for $59. Here are just a few review links I am going to post.

1. 3DGameMan.com - Here is a good video review that he did, don't worry about the site saying incomplete instructions, just read the real instructions if you buy it, but it will give you a good idea about this heatsink. Here is a direct link to the video - http://216.123.84.163/custom/layout/3b/swiftech_mcx462.wmv

2. http://www.overclockersonline.com/index.php?page=articles&num=119&pnum=4

3. http://www.lostcircuits.com/advice/cooler-jan/4.shtml

Note: The installation at first might seem overwhelming, but it is not, it is actually very simple. If you need any help or want any more information you can either post here or email me at mrman_3k@msn.com

I would highly recommend this heatsink and just remember that it is the best when it comes to air cooling. It even beats the Alpha PAL8045, so just imagine what it must be like!

So if I was going to get one for my XP 1800+ I would get the MCX462 right?

Where can I find it for the best price? The lowest I have found it is $66.99

mrman3k, how hard is it to install? I could not get that video to work...
