I would like to know how you are supposed to get the fan off the Swiftech MCX462+ with the snap rivets? I cannot figure it out, I am a stupid n00b.

nah, you're not stupid, the rivets are. 😀

I don't have a swifty but i have used snap rivets before. I just took a flat screw driver, pressed the flat part against the rivet, and push up.
 
Okay, I tried using a small flat head screw driver and it didn't really work. Any other ideas, and I will keep trying.

I would not much prefer normal screws than this stupid design for a clip.
