My gf currently has this lump kinda right below her ear and she went to the doctor today and they said it might be her lymph nodes. They don't know if it's cancerious but they will do blood work on Thursday. My gf is 23 (just turned 23) and is in good shape. She doesn't exercise but she has a high metabolism. I researched lymph node cancer and the symptoms are frequent night sweats, weight loss and some other stuff. She has none of these symptoms. I'm hoping it is something very minor.

Anyone experience this before?

Sorry I forgot to add that the lymph nodes has been swollen for over a month now.

Probably just a slight infection, or virus. Nothing to be worried about unless the Doc calls back and says come into my office tomorrow.

Swollen lymph nodes usually mean there is an infection in the area... Anything from a tooth problem to a mouth sore can cause them to become enlarged.

also the other way around...swollen lymph node can cause a toothache.

Anyway, probably nothing to worry about. I have one on the left side of my face right below the ear as well. Been there for as long as I can remember. Had the doctor look at it once and he said it was probably nothing to worry about. I did have a fairly large lymph node on my back taken out and it left quite the scar....it wasn't cancerous

Probably nothing a week of antibiotics won't clear up. Nothing to worry about.

check other lymph nodes for swelling, like above the inside elbow joint, and down on the pelvis.
