Sweetest modder mobo ever?

OK, so I've been spending too much time modding my computer lately, and had a scary thought. You know all those clear acrylic cases on the market now? Is it only a matter of time 'till someone makes an acrylic motherboard to go with them? I mean.. I know mobos need to be built in layers.. but I would imagine someone like DFI could slice some lexan or acrylic pretty darn thin. Is this *theoretically* possible, and if so.. where do I get one?

I hate to say it but that is indeed an interesting question/proposition. I would imagine that the difficult part would be the insulating factor between layers. Hmm. Perhaps some technobytes can give us a clue about this.

Issue would be something that could stand up to the acid etching process. glass is too brittle and most other plastics don't react well to acid. Only things I can think of would get a cloudy finish which would be pointless. Be great if you could do something with lexan or polycarbonate though. It would certainly give a better appreciation to the difficulties of creating multi-layer motherboards.

I'd invision a very chaotic looking mess with all the layers of circuitry exposed to the eye so I doubt I'd want a transparent board if I could get one.

But dude, can you imagine some plasma lighting behind the chaos?

Well, at least something like what Yoshi used for the sides and top of this case he built recently. Put a clear side panel on a case and then put one of those panels he used behind the MB (somehow) and you've REALLY got some chaos! LOL!!

something uglier? a clear-ish mobo would be neat, but im not a fan of the UV stuff
