Not a bad concept, but...
He should have used some sort of mold, i.e. so as to have a perfect cube or rectangular shape. After the material dried, he could have sanded the edges so that they were smooth, and then applied an acrylic paint. For the processor and chipset, he could have created ducting out of thin cardboard to provide a direct path of air to the heatsink.
This is among the best idea's I've seen to get a 3lb PC.
