I think my cable company likes me though I am paying for about the most expensive services. I paid for and according to the service plan, I have 256K up and 5Mb down. I actually get about (490K up and 6.5 (according to their site speed test) but on DSL reports, they report 490K up and 4.7Mb down. Also whats nice is the fact that they claim I have a dynamic IP and that I'd have to pay more for static, but the thing is I've reset the modem about 10 times and I STILL have the same IP 🙂 I'm very happy!
 
Ah Fibre optic, PFF, yes while this is good, I'd expect much higher speeds espcially since it's fibre. I mean cable can exceed speeds of 60Mb/s why can't fibre do at least double that? Connections at hub too slow?
