Back in HS when I was out of shape... I did it in 7 minutes and change. Don't think I can last for more than 2 miles... but things like this require build-up time... would love to start up cardio exercises again... need endurance for hockey. :)

Our HS soccer coach required 11 minute 2 miles. Not bad if the whole team was cross country or track runners.

The police foundation course in college in ottawa requirs 5km in an hour, lol. It's a joke.

I used to go out with someone that was in it, and she was head of her class, she did the 5km in 20min, I ran with her once and she couldn't keep up to me. I hadn't done cardio for around 5 months before then either. LoL.

Takes me 11min to bike 6km to work. :)

Pretty damn good. I'd say the furthest I could go in 40 minutes would be 4-4.5 and I wouldn't enjoy it.

Not bad, but no reason to laugh. What's your best mileage total for a day? Mine's 38. With a 35lb backpack.

Everyone's good at something. Bragging about it is pointless.

That's a good time. When I was rowing, our team used to to 10 km runs (just a little shorter than 7 miles) in just under 40 minutes, but we were singing and stuff along the way :)

on a side note, i really believe that running is the best weight loss "program". all these people try these fancy diets and spend a ton of money on weight loss clubs and such. heres my two cents, get off your a$$ and run if you are serious about losing weight. its free and it makes you feel great when you finish a nice hard run.
