if anyone knows a good quick program I can use to shrink them up a little and still keep the clarity (just not the huge size). I will gladly shrink up these and a bunch more. Then people can see more and I won't use up a ton of bbzzdd's bandwidth.

I think around 6:30pm or so. this past sunday. I think a lot of days have been like this. But you have to be willing to wait, sometimes the fog is too thick, other times it's not enough. WE got lucky

I was there recently, but due to the fact that I'd been driving for 10 hours straight I didn't make it that far into the park. Seeing those pictures made me wish I had.

Nice pics, great fog, great subject.

One recommendation: Taking these shots at sunrise or sunset (whether the sun's behind, in front of, or beside you) would improve them 500000000000000%.

There's a "sweet spot" for lighting that's the first 15 minutes or so after the sun breaks the horizon, and the last 15 minutes before it drops off completely. Basically the first 15 minutes after sunlight starts hitting the subject, and the last 15 minutes before it stops hitting the subject.

Idiots never cease to amaze me. The title says "Golden Gate Bridge in the fog". And you come in here and post what you did? Did you bother to read the title or do you just randomly click on threads hoping you might stumble on something good? I hope your next "mystery click" is a real winner for you.

I always like pictures of the Bay Bridge better, especially when taken from Emeryville/Berkeley...that way you get the SF skiline in the background...and fog too.

I have to agree...having the skyline is nice, but I think the Golden Gate bridge looks better than the Bay Bridge. JHMO.

Also, for Gnote:

I think I've hiked to that spot before. Not sure, because it was so foggy, I couldn't see anything from there.
