I've noticed that graffiti in other countries is a lot more artistically-oriented than the stuff in America. When I was in Spain the graffiti was the same way.

I've noticed the same thing - some of it here's very good too, but I haven't seen the concentration and quality in the US as I've seen elsewhere. Looking at some of that art, I wonder if it's not quite as illegal there as it is here, or that maybe it's even paid for.

I think it depends on where you live, I've seen some amazing stuff in places like New York and Chicago. Back in the late 80's and up til the mid 90's there was a thriving culture of graf artists in the US, sadly though when hiphop music started going down the toilet so did some of the cool stuff that went along with it (graffiti, breakin, etc...)


I'd love to frame some of that kind of art and put it in my basement (working on a loft style remodel for my basement)

While talking to the guy that shot it, I mentioned some of it could sell for thousands, if it were on canvas in a gallery. He mentioned he'd read something about a show of Brazilian street artists in New York recently.

I too, would be happy to have some of that on my walls.

Don't forget LA. Yes, it's vandalism, but I've been extremely impressed by some of the stuff I've seen down there.

Don't forget LA. Yes, it's vandalism, but I've been extremely impressed by some of the stuff I've seen down there.

It almost seems 'vandalism' is too strong a word. Something more like 'unauthorized panting/improvements' might be better suited. Its just really good artists (some times) expressing their skills when they don't really have another way of showcasing them on a large scale.

Any chance we can get some biggie sized? Some of these look like they'd make good wallpaper.
