Sweet old lady gets recognized for just being nice

ATOT used to be a BBS hosted on the Celerity BBS software. and they were able to port the accounts to the information superhighway.

I love old people. I have such respect and patience with them... They have so much to say and even though sometimes it can get tedious, most of the time it is a treasure to hear them speak and share their wisdom. I once did some computer work for an old man and started to chat him up. Found out he was a WW2 veteran. Even though my work was done, I ended up staying more than 2 hours after and just to hear the old man tell stories about his life and his experiences in the service. Truly heartstopping stories too; he was a ball turret operator in a B-17 bomber over Nazi Germany. I did some more work for him and every time, I usually booked the afternoon at his place even if the job only took an hour. The man was full of stories and age old tales.

That old lady was so sweet. I think I'm going to call my grandmother. It's been a while since I spoke to her. Thanks for posting this.
