Sweet! My first issue of Time ($4.95/yr.) came today!

I ordered a subscription to Time Magazine at the beginning of June through BestDealMagazines. There was a coupon code running around for a subscription for $4.95/yr.

I was pretty wary, so I used a one-time-use credit card number (thanks AMEX Blue!) and figured that I'd have to jump through hoops to get this subscription going. But, I checked the Time customer service website this weekend, and my subscription was listed, so I knew it was on-track.

Then, today I got my first issue! It's been less than a month since I bought the subscription, and I've already got an issue in my hands. As long as you use a one-time-use CC number and a spam-ready email account, I guess you really CAN get a good deal!

Not bad, but I remember getting Time issues for free back in the day :) But $4.95/yr is not bad at all.

No need to use one-time use CC's. I ordered 4 or 5 mags through them about 18 months ago...and after a year they stopped coming. Didn't get automatically rebilled. Finally got off my ass and reordered, and got 12 magazines for about $60.
