The GF4 I was using kept crashing the computer, the extra GF2 i had didn't load windows at all. I have a bunch of extra RIVA 128s, but those supposedly use the wrong voltage or something. That leaves this 4 MB PCI diamond stealth for video.

It's been many years since I've taken for granted 2D speed, I can see the monitor redrawing each window I minimize or bring up.

tomorrow, i go to frys to buy one of those $30 6200s.
 
Hey, I built my A64 system that cost me roughly $1600 last summer and I stuck a Voodoo 3 in for the first 3 weeks before my GF7800GT that was backordered arrived. I got 2226 3D marks in 2k1. Several weeks later, I was at 32k =)
 
i remember for awhile back when my friend bought his P2 350 (when it was new) he couldnt afford a graphics card right away, so he borrowed my ISA 512k Trident card 🙂

he could play slow starcraft and write papers, that was about it.
 
i got this old ATi radeon 128 Rage i think. it still works though it's not in a system. my sisters old macintosh had better graphics then those virge's.

I remember ordering one of those 4MB Diamond Stealth's back in the day.. I believe the card was the the Diamond Stealth 3D 2000 Diamond Stealth
4MB, PCI, S3 Virge.. the worlds 1st 3d accelerator.. at least that is what they claimed..

I think I paid $199 for it, and had it delivered to my barracks, delivered from CDW. I paid by C.O.D. since I didn't have a credit card or debit card at that time..
It came bundled with Descent... wow.. at that time, that game made me sick. I think today, I would laugh at that game.

I just can't believe its been this long already.. 10 years
 
hah i still have my 4mb stealth v-card. but i think i upgraded the memory to 6mb..can't remember
