I like Kotaku better (far superior commenting in the Gawker network), but anything that gives me footage of Ryu doing his thing gives me happy pants.

From the original image that I saw, I had kind of been under the impression that they were trying to go for that photorealistic look. That doesn't seem to be the case looking at the video.

In any event, I'll be getting that when it comes out. I haven't really gotten into a Street Fighter game since The New Challengers for Sega Genesis.

It looks interesting. I haven't really played anything past the SF2 (super turbo) series. I was never really a big fan of what seemed to be button mashing and slow button reaction times. Also, I've gotten old and arcades seem to be disappearing.

The more recent ones (SF III: 3rd strike) have been anything but button mashers. Lots of parrying involved and timing of moves, very critical.

I think the parrying will be removed from SF4...

Still looks awesome to me. I can never get enough Street Fighter. Heck, I even get a little excited when I see people using SF characters for avatars in games or forums. SF2 was truly my favourite game of all time.

The charecters don't seem to have the cool look they used to have. If anything, Ryu looks like a disgruntled fighter with the possibility of using drugs. Still looks fun though.
