I was at Circuit City today, just lookin around, listening to some car stuff, not planning on buying anything. They sales guy shows me the open box section....there is an odd combo in there. One Polk EX 5 1/4" and one 6 1/2", for $9.99. The 5 1/4" was the display model in the showroom, and somehow the second one in the back that wasn't being used got switched with a 6 1/2". So, I figure, this is a great deal, who cares if one side will be louder than the other. These are decent speakers....the 5 1/4" ones run for $80/pair, and the 6 1/2" run for $100, so I basically saved myself $80....sweeeet:)

ummmmmm......d00d, what kind of car do you drive? Are you just going to cut random holes in your cabin and force the speakers in there?

Different models of vehicles have different size factory openings. For example, my rear deck has openings for 6"x9" speakers. If I were to go buy 4"x10"s I would have to build boxes for them and prop them up in the back window (which looks like ass) or attempt to reshape the holes in the rear deck. The amount of hassle for either of those options wouldn't be worth the price savings on whatever deal you got.
