I've had one for several months, got it for free from pointclick back in the good days.

It plays CDRs, and is almost impossible to skip. 60 hour battery life on one recharge.

Better than any mp3 player.

this is one great cd player, the "G protection" really makes it hard to make it skip. I was bouncing mine on my friend's sofa for a couple minutes and couldnt skip it. If you have a md recorder that supports it the joint text feature really saves a lot of headache when naming tracks. My only complaints are that the remote is a bit on the heavy side if you dont clip it on your shirt or something and the external battery casing hangs off like a dongle and doesnt screw on like other models.

I'm curious, the topic says 2nd best cd player but then what is THE best? link?

Milkyman,

The best is the Sony 15th Anniversary D-EJ01. I got this discman is awesome as hell. Only complain is the CD text feature... when I make an audio CD with CD text from Nero, the discman has a hard time picking up the disc. I don't know if there's a restricted amount of characters that can be used or what but it seem like not the discman's fault... more like a CD text limitation or Nero.
