Sweet Bastard, did anyone see that backup QB for the New York Giants?

Yea I saw when they threw him in to get a few yards, I thought he was a lineman. Kinda kills the point of a QB sneak when you see this monster on the field tho.

the "hefty lefty"? There was a great video of him on youtube from a preseason game where he just right over some defensive player like they arent even there, pretty funny, but they took alot of the NFL vids down, so probably not there anymore.

heh..seriously. I guess he'd be good for 3rd or 4th and inches. He could just fall forward behind his Center and Guard. A 900lb domino.

he's got a cannon of an arm, he had by far the highest rpm on the ball among the QB's at the combine a few years ago

Everytime i see him on the side lines i shudder. But then i wonder if he would be better than eli manning...instead of throwing an interception when pressured, if he would just let the guy hit him and bounce off.

and eli manning looks like charlie brown.

He was near the same weight while at Kentucky too. Pretty mobile for his size too which is rare.

I remember when he played for Kentucky. He was amazing. He is a talented QB, and his weight does not hold him back.

you'd think a guy like that could just drop about 40-50 pounds and could be a starter somewhere. I'm sure that weight has to hold him back somewhat.

It doesn't hold him back, but the league holds him back. They want the scrambling, mobile QB which in all honesty, I've seen Lorenzen play, and he could run for it when he needed to.

The league now has the ideal where if you are mobile you are going to be better than someone who is accurate and has an arm.

For real.

Why won't this kid just drop 30-40 pounds? I figure, if he's the size that he is and is still a QB he must have some talent. Bottom-line, I think that boy likes country-cookin' a little too much. It surprises me that his coaches haven't gotten him in NFL shape.
