Well I haven't built a system since back when the ASUS K7M and K7V were out and the Slot A Athlon was crushing Intel chips. Here I am now looking to build another rig for personal use. Up until now I have been picking up Dell PowerEdge Servers to get by but now I feel the need to give AMD a run. I need a rock solid motherboard for a system that is going to primarily be used for .net development as well as some graphic design. No games or animation...

I already have the following.

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+
RAM: 4GB PC2 5400 667MHz OCZ Gold Series
HD: 2x Seagate Cheetah x15 RAID1 on Dell PERC4 256MB Cache
HD: 6x WD 400GB SATA RAID5 LSI Logic MegaRAID

I really don't see myself utilizing SLI but it the price is right then I will consider. Let me know what you all have in mind.

Thanks!

I hope you don't plan on using that current memory that you have. That description leads me to believe you have DDR2. Currently, Socket 939 does not support using DDR2 memory. (Unless that is a typo you have there)

Curreny memory was pulled from the workstation I was using before I sold it. I kept a few things from it. If thats the case I can just sell that sh!t. So aside from the memory what should I look at?

I'd look at the biostar 6100 with built in video (only $59 at newegg). Or if you want to purchase a separate pci-e card, look at the abit kn8 with nforce4 chipset for around $100.
