it seems to have a wider release then other recent small rereleases like indiana jones. it plays on the biggest screen at century 25 union city, not bad🙂 no hole in the wall or small screen viewing!
but whether it stays there on friday..thats questionable, if its like indy, it won't last long🙁
seeing the monochrome computer displays all over that movie is funny🙂 i only had a faint memory of seeing it on tv long ago, so it was pretty much new stuff to me, never thought i'd ever see it in a theater, let alone a decent one thats for sure, good stuff🙂

There are various changes to the movie that have been made. There has been a lot of footage put back into the movie, but also there have been a lot of cuts. I believe after adding and cutting, the actual running time is 2 minutes shorter than the previous version. A lot of those sequences which are real 2001: A Space Odyssey-esque have been trimmed down. I don't really like that, but for those that are impatient it gets things moving a lot quicker. I on the otherhand found some of those scenes almost breathtaking. Added are various scenes, like the alien seen hanging from the chains during brett's death scenes. Again, when you see it beforehand, it takes away a lot of the suspense. They've also added a scene where they play the actual audible transmission that is received from the derelict spacecraft. It sounds freaky. There are some other random stuff thrown in where lambert and Ripley get in a fight. I'm not sure but they might have put back in the scene where they have the alien trapped in the airlock but Ash kind of sabotages them blowing it out into space. Probably the most interesting reinserted scence is where Ripley is on her way to the shuttle and she stumbles upon a "nest" created by the Alien. There she finds Dallas and Brett have been cocooned and are slowly being "morphed" into eggs. Brett's egg has nearly completed the transition and Dallas is not far behind with his head and part of his upper body still outside the egg. He asks Ripley to Kill him and she torches the place with her flamethrower.
P.S. Alien 4 sucked.
