Sweat in earbuds

Is there any way to clean the inside of the buds? My shure se310's got sweat in them and the sound level is low now. I was going to send them in... but I have some others that apparently suffer from the same problem. I've let them sit long enough to dry out but no change. So is there anything I can use? I was thinking electric part cleaner but I don't know how the drivers in the ear buds work...

its not sweat it is probably ear wax. Have you taken out the rubber?

I had Altec Lansing IM716 and they came with a tool that you used after you took off the rubber flanges. The tool inserted into the canal and pierced through the filter which you removed and replaced with a new filter.

Otherwise, have you been washing the IEM's after every use? If you do not do that, they will clog with earwax depending on your earwax production and personal hygene.

Yeah I've cleaned out any wax (minimal) I could find. Not a bit of it to be found at this point. Its internal where I can't see anything..

Oh man, that's not very good then 🙁

Have you posted on head-fi.org to see if anyone else solved this problem? You can't be the only person that has gotten too much stuff into the IEM.

Another resort is to contact Shure to see if they have any solutions outside of replacement.

Good luck.
