SWatch T.V and play games at same time?

Hey guys, i use my PC to stream movies to my T.V via a HDMI cable. Now it also plays sound through that to my t.v. The HDMI is hooked up to my radeon 5770 video card. But here is my issue!

I go to play a game and the sound plays through the same speakers as the movie. I had a onboard soundcard and a USB buddy soundcard. I was hoping there was a way in game to change where the sound is played through(game is borderlands).

Any way to set it up so it plays borderlands through my headphones that are hooked up to my USB Buddy soundcard. and play the movie sounds through my HDMI to my t.v from my video card?

Probably a better bet would be to change the output in whatever video program you're using. Set the default Windows sound output to your soundcard and then change the video player to use the HDMI. I know you can do this in MPC Home Cinema.
