SWAT3 in Win2k

Im sorry for posting this message here but I really need help and I cant seem to get much in the software section. Anyway, Im running Win2k and I installed SWAT3 last night and installed all the updates. I then went to run the game, and i see the tile that has the title and stuff and then the screen goes black and I assume the menu is supposed to load. Instead though, I get an error saying "Unable to run 2d video mode(640x480)." What gives with that? I have SP2 and the compatability patch installed and I just cant get the game to load. Can anyone help me?
