SWAT3 in Win2k

Is there a way to get SWAT3 to work in Win2k? I have SP2 and the compatibility update and it still wont run. I tried to run it once and it said something about being unable to run in 2d mode and then crashed to desktop. What gives?

hmm... i dunno what's your problem with the game.. i'm running win2k /w sp2(with all the other updates as well).. all i did was installing swat3 and it always work.. it never crashed on my computer.. i'm pretty sure that this game is built for win2k as it mentioned on the box.. can you post some detail on your computer? you should probably try to update your video card driver and patch the game with the latest patch..

Im running the nvidia XP drivers right now that I got from their site a few days back. I downloaded the latest update for SWAT3, so Im going to give that a shot.

Im updated all the way up to version 1.7 and it seemed to start fine. It showed the tile in the middle of my screen, and then it went blank for a sec, I assumed it was supposed to load the menu, but instead, the screen was blank and I got a message box that said "Unable to Set 2d Mode(640x480)." What is that all about? I have my desktop at 1152x864. Could that cause a problem?
