Swapping motherboards (815E to SIS 645DX) under WinXP

I'm going from a TUSL2 to a P4S533 next week and want to know if there is anything I can do to avoid reinstalling the OS (WinXP) when I do the swap. If anyone has done this recently and can give me a little insight, I'd appreciate it.

1. Backup anything and everything important
2. Swap boards, try booting and see what happens. You might get lucky.
3. Prepare to format and re-install.

It has been done on a few occasions, but XP is very picky about swapping big parts like mobos with different chipsets.
