Swapping hard drives between two Inspiron 600m's

is it possible to swap two hard drives between two Inspiron 600m's with almost identical specifications (one has a 2.0P-M and the other has a 1.6P-M) without having to reformat/corrupting the data?

basically i want to swap the hard drives and be able to use the computers just as before.

I doubt it as there may be diff mobos in them. See here for possable fix...

There's a good chance it'll work.
I was able to swap the hds between my 6000 and 700m with no major issues.

I've already verified that everything except CPU is the same in Everest.
