Most states have a state surplus office somewhere. Usually in the capital city. I've gotten some great stuff at these places (solid wood desk with return $10, nice file cabinets $10...). They also sell all the goverment vehicles e.g. police cruisers, trucks of all sorts etc... I actually saw a real Humvee at the Utah one. It usually works that other governement agencies get first whack at the stuff, then it goes to everbody.

i heard its crazy

one of my friends used to work for the government so he flashes his card for the early day...

he picked up a ups for 50 buck that had a memo on it saying "battery replaced (the week before he bought it) "
it was pretty cool...

dont know what part of government handles this stuff but it should be found... follow my link on first post and see if it has links or something
