swap file size in xp

768, but some of it is someone else's so when i give it back, i will have 512, but yeah as of right now, there is 768MB in there

Microsoft recommend 1.5 times installed RAM as the swap file size. With large amounts of RAM you may want to parse this down somewhat, to encourage the OS to use RAM over the swap file.

XP was also going swap file crazy on me...as an experiment, I removed the swap file totally (have 512 mb ram)...and have been running fine for the last few days (no reboots)...although I haven't really tried to crash it yet.
